And Nothing Else Matters… Growing up in high school, my inner teen angst exploded sometime around my sophomore year. A classmate and I would bring our Sony Walkman’s to high school, and rock out to the melodic tones of Cliff Burton, Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and Jason Newsted. Their albums became an anthem for all the emotions and dark times I was navigating during my youth. My youth was scared with long hospital visits, unending pain, trauma and a bleeding disorder (hemophilia) that limited everything I could. This is my homage to the band that will forever define not only my generation, but those to come. Today’s music pales in comparison. It’s my honor to give their vintage logo the Synthwave treatment. Please note, every aspect of this artwork is painted by hand.
