Boomer's "Blue Man" Painting

Boomer Galassi has been a blue man in "Blue Man Group" for close to 30 years. In the industry, we don't say this is technically Boomer as a blue man... rather, it's "Boomer's Blue Man," referring to his artistic interpretation of the character itself. Painted entirely in Procreate, using Apple Pencil 2 on the iPad Pro. Total time 7.5 hours, with 7800 brushstrokes. I self-taught this portrait style during the pandemic, and really enjoy painting inspirational individuals and iconic characters in horror/sci-fi that have impacted my life artistically. Painting for me is therapy, and such a powerful outlet, very much like the show itself.
