The Wizard 1989

One of my most beloved films from my childhood was 'The Wizard,' a tale of a young prodigy who could out score anyone in video games. The three kids set out on a journey to get young little wizard Jimmy Woods (Luke Edwards) to a video game competition to score it big. Joining him is his brother Corey Woods (Fred Savage) and friend Haley (Jenny Lewis). The movie also debuted Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. 3, which at the time, was a huge video game release. Even though the Power Glove used in the movie was a lackluster accessory to the Nintendo Entertainment System, it was still iconic in so many ways in modern day pop culture.
