Growing up as a child, like most of us who were 80's kids, seeing Tim Burton's 1989 Batman for the first time left me speechless, and in a good way. The darkness, grittiness and Gotham landscapes changed the way we view Batman today. This film ushered in a new era of The Dark Knight, which was solely inspired by Frank Miller's iconic Dark Knight graphic novel saga. Truly one of the iconic films that set the bar for what Batman should and could be, with humble respects to Tim Burton's sequel "Batman Returns," as well.
