Here is my submission for the Soundtrack of your life art challenge. I posted several images to demonstrate some of the complexities on how the piece was painted. I recreated the dot matrix painting method of CMYK comic art as seen in the vintage comics of the 60s-90s. The method isn't just "find a color and paint." It's actually more complex, using a color grid of only 374 color combinations to arrive at the colors you see. Essentially, the process is pretty painstaking to be honest, but the finished product looks like something created on a pulp comic strip from 1982, complete with color bleeds, imperfections and ink smears. If you zoom in on the full color piece, you will see the off center halftone patterns and the color combinations that when zoomed out, creates the desired color selection.
